Each moment is a space in time, when joined, becomes a song; your soul will gladly qualify and proudly sing along. Enjoy!"

Not a Girl Detective (Unabridged)
Besides her beloved collection of vintage designer clothing, there is nothing Cece Caruso cherishes more than her childhood memories of Nancy Drew. Her near obsession with the fictional teenage sleuth led her to become a professional biographer of classic mystery writers. And now that she's working on a book about Nancy's pseudonymous creator, "Carolyn Keene", Cece's in heaven.
At the L. A. home of another rabid Drew-ophile, Cece finds a treasure trove of useful memorabilia, including one unique and somewhat shocking collectible. Later she finds a dead body - and a puzzle that would sorely test the skills of her spunky girlhood heroine. Now she'll have to channel her former idol and unmask a murderer, and the killer may be coming for Cece next.
Fruitbasket from Hell (Unabridged)
"My name?s Alex Cheradon. I?m a private investigator. That means I investigate?private?stuff. I do NOT slay vampires, battle demons, fight zombies or vanquish evil spirits. In fact, you know what? Let?s just strike a line through the whole supernatural genre and call it a big no-no for me, okay?
"Steven Raines (you know, the man who made billions making an operating system that out-Microsoft-ed Microsoft?) hired me to look for his missing daughter. Although, he?s pretty sure she?s dead. But, hey, guy?s offering me a million dollar payday, so I?m not going to argue.I?m also going to ignore the thing about her being a Satanist, the dead bodies that are piling up around me, and vampires that I find myself in the middle of. And that big thing named Pookie, I?m going to ignore that, too.
"Yep. I?m just going to ignore it all. For one million dollars I can totally do that. Now all I have to do is stay alive long enough to spend the money."
Dial H for Hitchcock (Unabridged)
Cece Caruso--mystery biographer extraordinaire, vintage clothing enthusiast, and part-time sleuth--is in freefall. First, she calls off her wedding, for reasons even she can't explain. Second, her newest biography (of Alfred Hitchcock) is way past deadline.
So Cece puts on a houndstooth suit with peplum and heads out to see Vertigo, only to come home with a cell phone belonging to a stranger named Anita Colby. Nothing if not a good citizen, Cece tries to return the cell phone--only to hear someone push Anita off a cliff.
Now a woman is dead, and Cece is under suspicion (tip: don't leave rambling, incoherent messages on someone's answering machine just before she gets murdered). To clear her name and put the real murderer in jail, Cece's going on the lam, where she'll encounter mysterious strangers, unhelpful strippers, a bottle of blond hair dye, and twists and turns so eerie it's as if Hitch himself were writing the script.
A new suspense-themed housing tract on the edge of the Mojave Desert is about to open, and who better to help promote the Cotswold-cozy development than mystery biographer extraordinaire Cece Caruso?
For the grand opening weekend, Cece is staging a play featuring the beloved sleuth Miss Marple. Of course, everything goes wrong, including a leading lady who ends up dead. All is not well in Christietown; its secrets are as complicated as the truth behind Agatha Christie's real-life disappearance. The developer, an Englishman who claims to be Dame Agatha's descendent, has ruthless investors breathing down his neck.
Meanwhile, Cece's got a wedding to plan, a baby shower to give, and an ex-husband who shows up on her doorstep with his fiance and future mother-in-law. And when another body surfaces, the intrepid amateur sleuth knows she must play the famed detective for real or suffer the same mysterious fate.

When You Lie About Your Age, The Terrorists Win (Unabridged)
Not long ago it occurred to Carol Leifer that she had to stop telling one of her favorite stories ? seeing The Beatles perform at Shea Stadium ? because it dated her. But then she thought: what?s that about? ?I see now that when you deny your age, you deny yourself?, she says, ?and when you lie about your age, you become your inauthentic twin. But most importantly, when you lie about your age, they win. (And of course by ?they?, I mean the terrorists).?
In When You Lie About Your Age, the Terrorists Win, comedy veteran Leifer tells hilarious stories about herself in her own voice; her Long Island childhood; her late beloved father, the inveterate teller of dirty jokes (?I see now that, as a child, a lot of looking up to your parents has to do with height?); and her 88-year-old mother who is still a practicing psychologist. Along the way, she also takes shots at plastic surgery, class reunions, the techno craze, Chanukah, becoming a parent at midlife, and a host of other 21st century craziness.
The Chinese Siamese Cat (Unabridged)
Amy Tan's light, airy voice engages the listener as if sharing a bedtime story. The naughty white kitten, Sagwa, comes from a long line of royal Chinese cats. Tal breaks out in a voyage to find his missing freckles and meets his pets.In the night, in his dream, an angel with a magic stick returns to Tal?s face his lost golden freckles. A sweet story about angel, freckles, stars and one curious boy full with imagination.
Freckles Like Stars, a Yael Shachnay book, was published by Rimonim.Gaslights, horse-drawn carriages, a fog-filled London and the rise of the British Empire all bring to mind the period of Jack the Ripper, Queen Victoria and of course the enigmatic Sherlock Holmes. He is without doubt the most famous detective in print and on film. He has been with us for generations and is constantly remade and retold. He became more widely known than his author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and thousands even believe he actually existed as a real man and lived in Baker Street, London.
But there is another character in the stories that is often neglected and misunderstood - Dr. Watson. What is the secret of this seemingly unassuming man? Where did the influences used by Doyle come from? Is Watson a mirror to elements of Conan Doyle himself? The contemporary world of Sherlock Holmes was one of great change and hope and yet also filled with war and fear. Did these influences help to form the plots and characters created by Doyle?
In this fascinating new project by award-winning filmmaker and best-selling author Philip Gardiner and author of numerous books Brian Allen, we unlock the mysteries of Dr. Watson, the man behind Sherlock Holmes.

Filled with adventure and bloodshed, pageantry and piracy, mystery and menace, Assassin's Apprentice is the story of a royal house and the young man who is destined to chart its course through tempests of change. Young Fitz is the bastard son of the noble Prince Chivalry, raised in the shadow of the royal household by his father's gruff stableman. For in the young man's blood is a heritage of magic, the talent called the Skill, as well as another, even more mysterious ability.
As barbarous raiders ravage the coasts and leave behind the zombie-like husks of the townspeople to prowl the countryside, Fitz is growing toward manhood. Soon he will face his first dangerous, soul-shattering mission, a mission that poses as much a threat to himself as it does for his target---for Fitz is a threat to the throne...but he may also be the key to the survival of the kingdom.

As lead singer and songwriter for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony Kiedis has lived life on the razor's edge. Much has been written about him, but until now, we've only had his songs as clues to his experience from the inside. In Scar Tissue, Kiedis proves himself to be as compelling a memoirist as he is a lyricist, giving us a searingly honest account of the life from which his music has evolved.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are that rare breed of rock band: critically lauded and popularly embraced by millions of fans, their albums consistently sell into the stratosphere - their CD Californication sold over 13 million copies alone.
Now in Scar Tissue, Anthony Kiedis defies the rock star clichés. In his telling, we can see everything he has done has been part of a passionate journey. Kiedis is a man "in love with everything" - the darkness, the death, the disease. Even his descent into drug addiction was a part of that journey, another element that he has transformed into art. Scar Tissue is a fascinating account of a fast-lane life, addiction, and a moving story of eventual recovery and redemption.
